Strategies for Online Five Card Draw Poker Unlike other poker games, you have no information other than who is betting and how many cards they have drawn. If an opponent draws a single card, he usually either has two pair or is drawing to a straight or flush. If he draws two cards, he has three of a kind, a pair with an ace kicker or a straight or flush draw. If he bet or raised before the flop, three of a kind or a pair are more likely. If he draws three cards, he usually has a pair. If he stands pat, he probably has a very strong hand like a made straight or better, although some people will stand pat with garbage as a bluff attempt. Players who draw four or five cards have a non-playable hand and should be punished for staying in with bets. |
